The Cart Shed

The Cart Shed is an independent charity which provides rural skills therapy in Herefordshire. It lifts the aspirations of people with mental health problems and learning difficulties, and of those who support them.

Through enjoying and understanding the natural environment, both health and well-being can benefit.

In 2017 their volunteers were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service – the MBE for voluntary groups – in recognition of the time and dedication they give transforming lives in Herefordshire by offering skills, friendship and a future to those in mental or physical distress.

In 2017, Jon Edgar was asked to consider ‘What is The Cart Shed?’ through a creative process to make a sculpture.
